UGA’s Terry College of Business Partners with Classic City Pétanque Club

Senior students from UGA’s Terry College of Business, in the class ‘Lessons in Leadership’, is partnering with the Athens Community Council on Aging for their semester-long project and helping them with their year-end Retro Prom event, dedicated to empowering our community and supporting the aging population.

They asked the Classic City Pétanque Club to assist them with a fundraising idea with the goal: “To maximize exposure for pétanque while making the most amount of money for the ACCA.“ The Athens Community Council on Aging is a long-running, highly respected non-profit in Athens that serves seniors through its Meals on Wheels program, Bentley Day Care Center, assistance with Medicare, finding jobs, supporting grandparents raising grandchildren and more.

We will be hosting an afternoon event, March 30th, at Lay Park in Athens, GA. The public is invited to discover the game of pétanque and support the Council on Aging with a donation of $10.
