On Saturday, April 11, we will be hosting our annual Diane’s Spring Panache. Play will begin at 10:00 AM, and we’ll play five games total.
Diane Klonowski was one of the founding members of our club. Those who knew her describe her as “straight talking, took no crap from anyone, but funny, kind, and generous.” She set the tone for our club’s culture—fairness, empathy, kindness, and a bit of tough love. Most importantly, she made sure everyone felt welcome.
We hold this annual panache not only to honor Diane, but also to celebrate the values she championed. At CCP, we promote good sportsmanship and respect for one another. All members are expected to welcome new players and help maintain a friendly, fun, and inclusive atmosphere.
Please plan to arrive by 9:30 AM so we can begin promptly at 10:00. We’ll play two games, break for lunch, and then finish the final three rounds.
Your “entry fee” is a small item worth about $10. This can be something you already own, a scratch-off ticket, a plant, a quirky piece of art you’re ready to rehome—anything you think would make a fun prize. The winner gets first pick, second place chooses next, and so on. We like it best when everyone goes home a winner.
