The Classic City Pétanque Club is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its members at the Mid-America Women’s Triples Tournament, hosted by Carolina Pétanque in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Honor Woodward, Jessica Lehman, and Joyce Keeton captured first place in concours, going undefeated against strong competition from across the region.

The club was also well represented by Gail Hawkins and Marilyn Appleby, who, together with Jane Yearn Cameron of Carolina Pétanque, demonstrated determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament and earned second place in consolante.

Congratulations to all of our competitors for making the club proud!

Come help the Classic City Pétanque Club celebrate the Lay Park Community Center, proudly serving Athens since 1975! The ACC Leisure Services Department is having a Family Fun Day at Lay Park that will be packed with activities, entertainment, and community spirit. Admission is FREE! Bring your friends, bring your family, and let’s celebrate 50 years of memories and community together!

Continuing the Classic City Pétanque Club (CCPC) tradition of having at least 1 CCPC member win something at the annual Rendezvous Bastille Day tournament (at least 4 years running), Club President Dan and his team won!   Best ever performance! FPUSA Regional Counselor Heidi was the only other CCPC member playing and she barely missed out playing in the finals.

This year, Michel and the Rendezvous Crew wanted to switch to a panache’ format (which everyone loved) but with no experience ever running one CCPC’s own former Sports Director Al and Carolina Petanque‘s Kathy Cline directed the tournament.

Thanks to all our friends from the Atlanta Pétanque League for making the trip to Athens to play in Diane’s Spring Panache 2025. The winners; Yves from APL in 1st, and from the from Classic City Pétanque Club, Tom 2nd place and Rob in 3rd.
