Now that we are having some cooler weather, Classic City Pétanque will switch to afternoon play beginning Sunday, October 11. The games begin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. We will continue Wednesday evening play at 5:30 p.m. through October 28. See everyone on the terrains!

The Classic City Pétanque Board of Directors will meet after game play (approximately 12:30) on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in the Marriott Courtyard meeting room located at 390 East Washington Street, Athens, GA.
When: Sunday, September 20, 2026
Who: Open to all players, but competitive boules must be used.
Payment: We are pleased to offer credit card payment, check, or cash.
Lunch: Lunch is on your own.
Check in: 8:00-8:30 am on Sunday.
Announcements: 8:30 am.
Games begin approximately at 9:00 am.
Saturday, September 19 – National Women’s Triples
We are proud to host the National Women’s Triples tournament and hope many of our women will participate. Because this is a national tournament, FPUSA has set the entry fee at $150.
Starting this week for the rest of the summer, we will do Wednesday evening play at 6:00 pm at Lay Park. It is a great time to play! The park is usually quiet except for the sounds of nature, and the trees provide needed shade from the sun. It is also nice that it gives those of us that are still working another chance to play besides Sunday.
